Apple Pie Energy Bombs

These are the simplest recipe to make, hands down. Do you need a fun recipe to make with your kids that's simple, delicious and better for you than the standard granola bar? Gluten-free and almost vegan, they can be adapted to become vegan by replacing the honey with agave or maple syrup. These take about 10 minutes to prepare and should yield about 24 balls that are about 1" in diameter, so simply think about 1-1.5 tablespoons of mixture being rolled into a ball.


  • 1⁄2 cup Peanut Butter

  • 2 cups Organic Oatmeal

  • 1⁄4 cup Ground Flax Seed

  • 1⁄4 cup Raw Wildflower Honey

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

  • 1 Green Apple

  • 1⁄4 teaspoon Sea Salt

  1. In a large bowl, stir together the oats, flaxseed, and cinnamon.

  2. In another bowl stir together the nut butter, honey, vanilla, and salt until combined & pour over the oat mixture and stir until evenly coated.

  3. Grate apple with skin and add to bowl and mix well until combined. (It may be easiest to user your hands to ensure its all well mixed)

  4. Scoop the mixture into tablespoon-sized portions and roll into balls (wet hands will help to keep the mixture from sticking)

  5. Consume immediately or place them in the fridge in an airtight container is saving for later.

Store in airtight container in fridge for up to 3 days or in freezer for 3 months.
