Creamy Blueberry Smoothie Bowl Dessert

This is a simple dessert based off of a smoothie bowl. It fits perfectly in a small coffee cup and is best served as a sweet treat. Trust us that our favorite frozen fruit is blueberries because they can be put into so many dishes to give it a purple hue and fruit infusions full of flavor. Berries are one of the lowest carbohydrate fruit with many of the antioxidants.

Don't be afraid of using heavy cream in this dish, it's no where near as bad as eating a large bowl of commercially produced ice cream.

Makes 2 servings:

1 cup frozen berries

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 tbsp powdered sugar

1 tbsp honey

2 tsp unsweetened shredded coconut

2 pinches chia seeds

Place blueberries, 1 tbsp water, and heavy cream in a blender and process until smooth. Add powdered sugar and blend.

Pour into two coffee mugs and drizzle with honey, coconut, and chia seeds and enjoy.
